Amelia Wide Leg Culotte Trouser, Pink Corduroy Cotton
Beautifully tailored and hand cut in a soft 8 wale cotton corduroy deadstock cloth, the pink Amelia Trouser is modern take on a classic cord trouser. Designed to wear on repeat almost all year round.
The Amelia Trouser style is a firm favourite amongst Saywood customers, loved for it's beautifully tailored fit and soft A-line shaping. It's cut to flatter around the bum, hips and waist, with a contemporary femininity, finishing just above the ankle. Clever darts at the front and back waist shapes the trouser perfectly, whilst giving comfort and space to the hips and bottom. Functionality is essential; the clean lines of slanted side pockets give detail, whilst the deep pocket bags make them practical.
Finished with a metal fly zip and discreet corozo jigger button to secure the waist. With our signature flower embroidery giving that surprise feminine detail on the back pocket.

Wash less, love always
We recommend hanging your trousers to air outdoors, rather than washing after every wear. This way, they will last longer and also have a lower environmental impact. Spot clean marks with warm soapy water, and when it does need a wash, follow our care advice:
- Machine wash 30 degrees
- Wash with similar colours
- Low iron
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry
A note on our deadstock cotton and corozo buttons
Our Amelia culotte trousers use deadstock cotton sourced locally in London, from a supplier who saves surplus cloth directly from factories after use, ensuring they do not end up in landfill. They’re handmade in the UK, in North East London at MAES, just down the road from the Saywood studio, keeping our carbon footprint minimal.
We’ve used corozo – known as vegetable ivory – for the button on the zipper, as it comes from a nut found in South America which can only be harvested once it naturally falls to the ground, making it a more sustainable choice. It’s also biodegradable. The zipper is nickel free and the tape made from recycled polyester.
