Size: XXS

A true forever wardrobe foundation, the Lela is your go-to white shirt; a favourite amongst Saywood customers for it’s easy-to-wear classics-redefined styling. Its oversized boxy silhouette drapes beautifully of your body, whilst the box pleat in the back gives an added elegance.

Trimmed with unexpected details akin to Saywood; subtle cotton herringbone tape at the pockets, to-match top stitching, neat side splits for ease, and a light utilitarian feel.

Cut from a modern soft recycled cotton from the Canclini mill in Italy, the Lela Shirt in white offers a more sustainable alternative to the conventional classic; using existing cotton, respun, with little water used, made in London to reduce our carbon footprint, and finished with eco-friendly corozo buttons.

Composition: 100% Cotton from recycled yarn

Wash less, love always

We recommend hanging your shirt to air outdoors, rather than washing after every wear. This way, it will last longer and also have a lower environmental impact. Spot clean marks with warm soapy water, and when it does need a wash, follow our care advice:

  • Machine wash 30 degrees
  • Wash with similar colours
  • Medium iron
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry

A note on our cotton and corozo buttons

Our Lela Shirt uses recycled cotton sourced from the Canclini mill in Italy; regenerating what already exists, made solely using the mill’s own solar-generated power. It’s made in London by Apparel Tasker, which, as a London-based brand, reduces our carbon footprint.

Our cotton is also certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which means it’s completely free from chemicals harmful to your skin. We’ve used corozo – known as vegetable ivory – for our buttons, as it comes from a nut found in South America which can only be harvested once it naturally falls to the ground, making it a more sustainable choice.
